Languages - C'est seulement un question d'habitude...et oreille

Ok. OK. I can make it

This is what I thought this morning while, driving on my car to UN palace, I was listening to "radio cite de Geneve"...and the miracle happened.

Suddenly all those charming chirping voices (and very hot to me, when the voice is female) ceased to be a background buzz and started to..."fit".

Yes i experienced exactly that sensation...as if I had many little moulds in my minds in which, finally, many of those sounds were finally fitting, becoming first recognizable words and then meaningful sentences. Comprehension.

Neither full nor simple but still, comprehension in what was once an ocean of darkness

And so, here I am...I climbed (again) the first step toward knowing french. I can speak, thru brutal translation from italian (or spanish), but comprehension is very difficult, also because I never studied it and cannnot write a word (almost). But I am cracking that nut too, and I am so happy about it.

So let's cheer to it for now and forget that it messes up with my spanish. And that I am very far from semi perfection in spanish either. Let's not lose one or the other, since languages are cultural richness.

Parlez moi en francais s'il vous plait! Hablame espanol por favor! Parlatemi come vi pare, basta che non lo facciate in italiano o in inglese :)
