News from geneva - How is it?

Switzerland: the place of nice mountain lakes, beautiful landscape, order, watches, private banks, things that arrive on time but also of supermarkets that close at 7 PM (please shoot me) and killer traffic (that is almost Rome comparale). Really, how come that there is traffic in a town as small as Geneva? On one side crazy limitations (30 in most places) on the other an amount of traffic lights beyond the imaginable.

on the bright side geneva is beautiful. But, honestly...I come from a place that is much better in terms of beauty of town and landscape so I am kinda not really impressed ;)
